When Do We Play?
The Beverly Women’s Softball League season runs from May through August. Games are played on Thursday evenings, with game times scheduled between 6:00 PM and 10:30 PM. It’s the perfect way to spend a summer night—playing softball, enjoying friendly competition, and connecting with the community.
Who Can Play?
The Beverly Women’s Softball League is built around our local community. To join the league, players must be women, at least 21 years old, and Beverly residents.
Once you're part of the league, you're always part of the league—returning players remain eligible even if they’ve moved out of Beverly. If roster spots are still available after registration closes, we may also welcome a limited number of non-residents, while keeping at least 85% of players from Beverly. Non-residents will only be considered after the waitlist of new Beverly players has been exhausted.
How Are Teams Formed?
Registration for the Beverly Women’s Softball League typically opens during the third week of March and remains open for one week. Because of the league’s scheduling and draft process, late registrations cannot be accepted.
After registration closes, the league conducts its annual draft to form teams for the upcoming season. The league consists of eight teams, each led by two captains who work together during the draft.
Captains draft players from the registration list while considering the information provided during sign-up, including positions played, level of experience, and availability throughout the season. This process helps ensure teams are balanced and that every player has the opportunity to contribute on the field.
